We offer this opportunity through our Chamber Music Course.

INSTRUCTORS(CHAMBER MUSIC COURSE)

AYAKO YAMAKAWA

Received Best Performance Award at The 16th Kanagawa Music Competition.
Attended the 2006 Ishikawa Music Academy and 2009 Euro Music Festival & Academy.
Graduated from Tokyo Metropolitan High School of Music and Tokyo University of the Arts, with a Music degree with an option in Instrumental Music.
Participated in the Junior Philharmonic Orchestra since 12 years old.
Played as a concert mistress in The Tokyo Geidai Symphony Orchestra, Crioso Opera Orchestra, Junior Philharmonic Orchestra, and more.
In 2015, played in the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra under contract.
As a free-lance player, mainly performs as an extra in orchestras, performs chamber music and performs solo.
Has studied violin with Yukiko Kudo, Sachika Mizuno, Chikashi Tanaka and Asako Urushihara.
Has studied chamber music with Hiroshi Arimori, Yoshiaki Teramoto, Noriko Kawanago, Hajime Kawanago, Hajime Otomo, Atsumi Hanasaki and Kazunori Kawasaki.


NAOKO YAMAKAWA

Joined the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra while attending Kunitachi College of Music.
Currently teaches at Kunitachi College of Music and plays in the Tokyo New City Orchestra.
A member of the Japanese String Teachers Association and Music Union of Japan.
Her students won first prize at the All Japan Students Music Competition. They have attended The Music High School Attached to the Faculty of Music - Tokyo University of the Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, Toho Gakuen School of Music, and other established music schools. Many of her students are now successfully playing as professional musicians.

TAKUYA UCHIKADO

Takuya Uchikado graduated from Tokyo Metropolitan High School of Music and Fine Arts in 2007 with a focus in music, piano performance.
He began composing after high school and entered Tokyo University of the Arts in 2008 to study Music with an option in Composition.
While attending Tokyo University of the Arts, Takuya Uchikado’s chamber music was specially selected and performed at the Former Sogakudo Thursday Concert, and his orchestral music was performed at the Sogakudo Morning Concert.
Takuya Uchikado has received the Hasegawa Yoshio Award and the Acanthus Music Prize, awarded to the top graduating students.
After graduating from Tokyo University of the Arts, he continued with graduate school at the university and earned his master’s degree in 2014.
He has studied piano with Masako Abe and composition with Akio Yasuraoka, has performed in the Edogawaku Shinjin Ensoukai (Edogawa District Amateur Concert) in 2007 and has participated in the 7th to 10th master classes at the Russian Piano School in Tokyo, where he was a selected member of six to perform at the school.
Takuya Uchikado has performed with many internationally renowned musicians from both Japan and around the world; a few being: Andrea Lieberknecht (flute professor at the University for Music Performing Arts in Munich), Wenzel Fuchs (principal clarinetist of the Berlin Philharmonic), Daniel Ottensamer (principal clarinetist of the Vienna Philharmonic), Andreas Ottensamer (principal clarinetist of the Berlin Philharmonic) and Vincent Lucas (principal flutist in the Orchestre de Paris and professor at the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Paris).
He has performed in the La Folle Journée au Japon in 2014 and World Flute Festival in Taiwan in 2015.
He held his solo recital in Tokyo and Sapporo.

You can practice and enjoy performing chamber music with a piano instructor, violin instructors, and a guest cello and/or viola player if necessary. Together, we can play piano trios or string quartets.

We recommend starting with the Piano or Violin Courses and set Chamber Music as a goal.
